1999 Express 1500 fan speed control problem

for about 1 month it would only work on speed 1,2,3, 4 dead
last few days 1,2,3,4 all work.

Sometimes the fan would run with engine off, not lately.

Strange sometime problems maybe a s ign of things to happen ?

This sounds like the classic blower motor resistor asm failure. I have replaced several of these with the same symtoms. Best to aquire the part from GM, have the VIN # handy for the correct application.
