White tipped o2 sensor
This may seem like a stupid question but I took the manifold/turbo off of the red car 2day, and noticed some things. For some reason the front o2 sensor was white tipped, so were some other areas inside of the exhaust side of the turbo/o2 housing. I think the exhaust wheel was white too.
I was just wondering if this was normal? I know most NA applications, the o2 sensor and exhaust parts are usually smutty or black. Is it white because its getting too hott? Lean condition? Or just normal turbo stuff? Thanks in advance. vanilla g

Re: White tipped o2 sensor
Mine always look like that. If I had to guess, I would say that it's because the exhaust gasses than the N/A. It's nothing to worry about. Now if your plugs were white, that's a different story.
