Honda NR

I wanted to build a motorcyle again, and I started with this nice kit of the Honda NR from Tamiya. I made it OOB, only drilled the discbrakes.

The kit was already a couple years old, so the decals were a bit crisp. I used TS-Italian red for the fearings, and TS-30 Silver Leaf for most of the silver parts. The wheels are TS- Semigloss Black.

I really love the result now, especially after adding the carbon decals I had no trust anymore in this kit. Luckely I managed to hide most of the little decal faults by pressing them away while the clearcoat wasn't dry enough. This really helped me.

The quality is just Tamiya so it's good. I had no problems at all, only the decals are a nightmare. My decals were also very crisp and broke already by watercontact.

I think I did a nice OOB job on this kit.

Kris.

Re: Honda NR

This is one of my favorite honda bikes. You did it justice. Clean build. Only thing, i think using white primer would make the red look brighter and nicer. Either way thats just the color, nice honda.

Re: Honda NR

Exellente build, and very excellent pictures too, nice job, I think the red is a little dark.

Re: Honda NR

Finally finished!

As I said before, in my opinion the red was a little bit too dark.. but in the first pictures it looks reeeally nice! Nice shine.

The pictures are beautiful.

I look forward to your next bike.

Congratulations.
Roca.
