Leak in wiper fluid container

I just found out I have a leak in my wiper fluid container. Is there somekind of sealer I can use by sticking inside the container or does the whole thing have to be replaced?

I also have a photo,it's not clear where the exact location is but you can tell it's a leak. The container is EMPTY,I am assuming the crack is near If not on the bottom.

Thanks again

remove the whole thing from the car, and fix the crack with some epoxy... finished.

Re: Leak in wiper fluid container

I just wanted to update you guys just incase anyone ever has a leak in there wiper fluid container.Always check first before assuming what the problem is.While my car was on the lift I went to check it out and there was actually no crack or anything like that.
There was a tube that has a boot on the end, well it seems it came disconnected so I just popped it back on and tada!

Re: Leak in wiper fluid container

That's somewhat common. Whenever I reinstall one, I put a #2 clamp on both sides of the elbow to keep it from coming off again. They get soft with age and pull off much easier than they should. Don't tighten the clamp much, you don't want to crack the pump or the line, just enough that the elbow doesn't pull off easily.

Re: Leak in wiper fluid container

If you do have a crack some day. I have had good luck fixing a crack after a wreck with a soldiering iron. Melting the crack together. Rubbing towards the crack with the hot iron from each side.
