How much are the turbo models worth now?

I am in the market for a new car and have always loved the 97-99 turbo eclipse. The value on KBB for excellent condition is 5k, but I see them going for much more. So what would you say a reasonable value for one in good condition is?

It's really hard to say how much. Each car is completely different when it comes to being as old as they are now. Depends on how many owners, body condition, and how it's running.

The thing that will drop the value down drastically, is if it's been modded. If some kids opens the hood and adds an exhaust and does stupid little things, the value goes low. If the car was completely built, front to back, and perfect shape, it will be worth more.

You would have to take it on a per-basis account to really see how much they're worth. I would spend $5k on one if the car was a virgin, in great shape, and driven well and maintained well. Wouldn't spend more though.

Re: How much are the turbo models worth now?

I ask because I found a 1999 GSX nearby that has 116000 miles on it (a lot for these). The guy is asking about 8k, wasn't sure if that was a normal price or not. Not a whole lot done to it.

I love that it has a "blowout valve".

And then, "Other than these changes, it is stock." And then he goes on to list other mods.

Way too much money for that car. It has a lot of miles on the motor. And the lack of pics doesn't help any neither. Would offer $5k tops.

I highest I would pay is 5800 but no more than that. He needs to post more pics if he is serious about selling.
