Cool 1979 Monte Carlo....question

Hi, I jus recently purchased a 1979 Monte Carlo and I need to redo all of the interior. Can someone point me in the right direction to find step-by-step instructions to do it myself?

Re: 1979 Monte Carlo....question

Auto upholstery is a difficult skill to learn, involving precise cutting and sewing.

I expect you can get a new (reproduction) carpet on-line. Often, trim shops can redo headliners pretty cheaply, so long as the cardboard backing is good.

However, its common for trim shops to charge thousands to redo all seats, door panels etc, probably more than the car is worth.

But I think your best bet is to find another '78 - 87 Monte and swipe the entire interior. Possibly interior pieces from other GM makes Regal (2 door), Grand Prix and Cutlass(2door) will fit, too. Around here, older cars rust out with pristine interiors intact.
