wanting to put a 302 in an 87 bronco II

Does anyone know if this will work? MY v6 2.9 is shot and I can get my hands on a 302 relatively cheap. I just wasnt sure if the tranny would take the 302 or if I would have to replace it as well.

is it auto or manual trans? i believe the auto will work but the bellhousing needs changed. The manual will not my stepdad is currently trying this with a 89.
