Driverside Power window....
The clip for one of the window lifters broke off. And that caused the cover for the pulley to pop off, And now the cable is all frayed, cable might have even failed. The motor is still good. Can anyone give me advice on how to replace cable.. Thanks

Re: Driverside Power window....
You need a new window regulator. Dorman Products makes a replacement. Part # is 741550.

Re: Driverside Power window....
Far from an expert but I've replaced 6-8 window regulators meaning the cable, tracks, motor as a single assembly and all but one was because a plastic guide or cable keeper broke. I've only seen one bad motor and I probably could have gotten away with changing just the brushes but instead changed the assembly.
If you can secure the plastic bit I suppose changing the cable would be doable though I've never done it. You may have to come up with an alternate way to secure the cable ends. In the long run, I'd just change the regulator assembly as a single unit. Higher cost but, would save headaches. They can be had for as little as $60. $100+ from the dealer.
