AC not cold as it has been.

I have an 04 Venture and changed the cabin filters on a reg. basis and this time with summer coming on it's not as cold as it use to be. I'm not familiar with R-134 systems. When I race the engins slightly it will get colder than sitting at an idle, both fans are running well and I cleaned the cond. and rad..
Can someone tell me if I should add maybe one can or should I take it somewhere and have it reloaded?
Thanks for any help. Mark

Re: AC not cold as it has been.

That sucks. I would take it in and have a reputable shop charge it and add some dye to it. That way if you run low again the dye will show you where you are losing the refridgerant. Plus they can check to see if you are actually low and make sure that's the problem.
Some shops will do "free" inspection which I would assume would be checking how much refridg. is in the system.

Good luck

Question Re: AC not cold as it has been.

Sounds like your system may need a recharge . You can do it but it really is quite dangerous if you don't have the proper tools and the appropriate knowledge . It would be safer and maybe more productive if you had a certified A/C guy do the work . Just my
