transmission ID

Hi, I need help with a trans ID. It came out of Dr. Panoz AIV and we will be putting it and some other engine bits up for sale soon.

It is a Tremec and I think a T56 but not 100% sure.

On the tag it has:

YR33 700 3AA B0102
TSET 1386 AA 0323

Thanks for any and all help.
Best wishes
James

Re: transmission ID

James,
If it is a Tremec and a six speed, it's a T56. If it has 5 speeds, and hooked up to a 4.6 Cobra motor of the late 90's, it is probably the T45. If it came in a 5.0 car it is probably the T5. If it was swapped out from what came from Ford when the car was built, it could be any number of 3550/TKO variants through the 600. I don't know how to decode the numbers from the case, but you could probably get a definite answer from Tremec, including which gear ratios and input and output spline counts it has as there were options these models. That info will be important for any potential buyer.

Mike
