Bluetooth in Mazda 3
I have a Mazda Speed 3 and will be installing an aftermarket stereo as well as a Bluetooth unit with the stereo. My big concern is how to run the Bluetooth microphone up from behind the radio to the visor area or map light area. I spoke with a car audio installation shop and they said they normally run it behind the weatherstripping of the door pillar car.
I'm not exactly sure if this is the best way to go, and if it is, how to get it behind the weatrherstripping without messing anything up. So what the best way to get the microphone wire from behind the radio to the door pillar weatherstripping, and then to the visor and/or map light? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt |

Re: Bluetooth in Mazda 3
why the weatherstripping ? I would take off the cover to the a-pillar and run it that way, it will stay inside the car.

Re: Bluetooth in Mazda 3
So you're saying to run it inside the pillar? Isn't that where the air bags are? Do I take the pillar cover off the inside of the car or just push it in there with a credit card?
How would I run the wire up from the dashboard to the pillar? Also, how would I run the the wire from the pillar to the map lights? Sorry for all these questions. I don't want to screw anything up so I thought I'd ask first. Thanks, Matt |
