Front top vent air flow going off and on
Hi. Just has my battery replaced today and began to notice that while my a/c was on, the air flow from the top/front vents was going on for a second or 2 and stopped for 6 seconds. The air flow from my other vents worked perfect. Any idea what could be the cause of this (can the battery be tied somehow to this)? Thanks.....

Not cheap though. You may want to phone around the recyclers, you may find one that works. Me? As I intend to keep mine for awhile longer (to pull my 21' trailer) I opted for a new OEM one.

Re: Front top vent air flow going off and on
If the problem started after a battery replacement it may need a relearn to reset it.
What year make and model and is it auto air or manual controls?

Re: Front top vent air flow going off and on
Well after a few days in the shop it was a gear that was cracked in actuator. Thanks for the tips. When I took my car to the dealer they indicated that the rear actuator was giving an error code but since it was working fine I didn't want to pay the extra 100 for them to check that out (I am just not going to mess with the temperature setting). Since the rear one is easier to get to I may check to see if that one is cracked too.
To answer MT's question, this was for a 2002 chevy tahoe with manual controls. Ive replaced the battery 3 other times (Arizona) and never had this problem, so I couldnt imagine the computer needed to be reprogrammed. |
