HO 454 into a 68 chevelle

Having problems with the stamped pan on a gm perf. HO 454 making contact with the crosmember on the drivers side. The motor mounts are in the right place and are correct. Any part # on something that will fit?

I don't have the number handy, but Chevelle uses a different pan on the big block than the other Chevy bodies. Check with Summit or Jeg's. Specify "Chevelle".

If the car was not an original big block you need to change the frame mounts.

396, 427, 454 all use the same motor mounts, frame mounts and oil pan.

Check Year One.

MD,

Chevelle uses a specific oil pan to clear the crossmember. It's not a BBC thing, it's a Chevelle thing. This is not an opinion. Chevelle pans "fit" other cars. Other pans do not fit Chevelle.
