Another distributor question
My 1995 PGT refused to start after I parked it one afternoon last week. I replaced the distributor about 2 years ago. It seems to be getting a little bit of weak spark, but when I crank it over there is no tach impulse. Even though the engine is spinning due to the starter motor there is no response what so ever from the tach. I have never noticed before if the tach moves as you crank the engine. Someone suggested to me that it might be the cam sensor. Anyway, could one of you fine Probe owners try cranking while watching the tach and tell me if it jumps as you crank the car, before it starts? i would hate to go to all the trouble of the work around for the ignitor if in fact it is not that that needs fixing.
Thanks Rob, Canada

Re: Another distributor question
The tach won't register when it is turning over with the starter.
