How to tap in to the Battery terminal ?
Does anyone know how to tap into the battery terminals. I have an aftermarket 55w HID wiring harness that hooks up directly to the battery. But with the terminals on a 1997 GTP (side mounted) its difficult to tap in under the terminals. I hooked the red terminal on the wiring harness onto the top of the fuse box but my headlights aren't as bright as they are when hooked directly to the battery. I want something safe and well insulated. Any suggestions?

Re: How to tap in to the Battery terminal ?
In this link at our tips and maintenance subforum describing how to do the fuel pump resistor bypass, on the left side of the picture of the underhood relay center, you can see a stud with wires hooked to it.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=658282 This is the best place to tap into battery power for add on accessories. Just take the nut off, slide your eyelet connector over the stud and snug the nut back down...done. You don't have to deal with the battery cables at all.

Re: How to tap in to the Battery terminal ?
Yeah this is what I meant about the top of the fuse box. I tried this and the headlights aren't as bright as they could be. I am using ring terminals right now to connect to the battery terminals but it leaves the terminals slightly exposed.
