Crackbox Breather?

Tube coming from a black box in front of engine block connected to a tube from my air filter looked it up said its called a "crank box breather"

#1 what does this do?

#2 is it bad if there is gas (or oil) in the tubes that conect to my air filter? and if so is this cause from this breather?

#3 with a crank box breather how do i install
a cold air intake?

Please help i am so confused:

Yes there is fluid in my air filter tubes (smells like gas) only thought is its coming from that crank box breather tube?

Re: Crackbox Breather?

never mind i think i figured it out,

#1 crank box breather bring air from pressure in engine back through the air filter system from oil/air separator

#2 Cracked vacuum hose (VERY CRACKED) would as i see it cause bad pressure causing burnt gas or oil to seap through my crank box breather.

#3 a (non-cheap) cold air intake setup will have proper connections for a crank box breather tube.

thanks every one lol jk!!

you can close if u want.
