You own a 2002 chevy cavalier your cd player stopped working and now shows error and the motor sounds like its constantly running? should i buy an aftermarket or go with a new/used radio?

IIIIIIIIi would go with an aftermarket, just because you can get a sweet brand new one that will probably last along time. and have better specs. but idk much i just intall my own sytems. just whatever you do, dont put a four foot 1980's pioneer stereo speaker in your backseat. it hurts when you total your car. which hopefully you wont.

I second aftermarket. A factory radio will be expensive, I checked to see what one would have cost for my Grand Am, they wanted $260 for a used one. These are also "class 2" or "RDS" radios, which requires reprogramming to work in a different car. That's something you'll have to take to a shop that has a tech-2 scan tool.
