Unhappy Power?

I bought my 04' 2500 5.7L Hemi 3/4 Ton Ram about six months ago. I was really pleased with it, at first. I dont mind the 11 MPG or the stiff suspension as is the norm with such vehicles. But I towed a 1977 Jeep CJ5 with a plow on a full car trailer last week. I wasn't sure I could make it home. The truck had a constant sway forward and backwards and it was like it was all it could do to go from a stop and get up to speed. Now I understand that the Jeep and trailor w/plow is heavy but this a three quarter ton full size pickup. This should not be a problem for this beast. Unloaded it is a great truck, but if I can't haul anything with it then it is useless. If anyone knows what the problem could be let me know. I really like this truck and want to use it in the fullest capacity.

Re: Power?

I can tell you that I've towed a 28 ft 7,500 lbs boat repeatedly with my 05 Ram Quadcab 5.7 L Hemi with no problems. I also know mine is rated at 9,000 lbs maximum. So, all I can say is it isn't the type/model truck.
