my blower system quit working about a month ago. I've tested the blower motor on a battery and it works fine. I've repalced the resistor and the blower still wouldn't turn. Now i want to replace the blower motor relay but can't located it. I know it's not in the electrical box because the relay at the parts store doesn't fit in the electrical box. let me know if anyone knows where i can locate the relay

Re: 1999 A/C problem
The relay is located on the heater plenum just above the tranny hump in the passenger compartment. However this relay is for the high blower speed only.

Re: 1999 A/C problem
Quote:
the resistor module SHOULD HAVE THE RELAY for blower...this mounts at the blower motor ...correct ?? with the vehicle running check for voltage at the blower motor resistors... it is possible but very unlikely the switch,,,,because the current flow is very low thru the switch ,,,years ago the switch would be more of a problem..the relays are also very reliable.... is this auto or manual a/c blower .. there are many relays in the under hood fuse box...all are the same type basicly... |
