alero with crazy probs

ok here is the deal the car has worked fine, until to day. i turned it off when into the store and came out went to start it and it acted like a bad starter lights came one and turned of with click noise tried again same thing then trunk popped by itself. thought the security locked it up so i hit the unlock on my remote and nothing so i hit the lock nothing then the trunk,, nothing. tried to star again batt dead, no lights nothing, tried to jump red on red black on black, nothing red on red black on bolt got power to lights tried locks again nothing hit panic horn honked tried to start same as when i started. all lights come on then nothing. take cables of everything is dead again, except there is a clicking noise under the glove box. please help its my mother inlaws car and because i was drivin it when it broke i have to fix it and sh is drivin me crazy yelling about how she doesnt have a car now......

Seriously, use some punctuation! I had to read your post 4 times to figure out what you were saying...
Anyway, it sounds like you are having electrical problems. My first guess would be a loose or corroded battery cable or ground wire. If those are okay, get the battery tested at an Autozone or somewhere like that, they will test them free.

Definetly sounds like bad connection or wire most likely at the battery somewhere, or battery is shot.

idolimos - Did you find a solution to this?

I was having somewhat similiar issues with my Alero too. In the below thread I describe what I did to fix it. Also, leading up to my car not starting the trunk would pop open by itself too. The clicking noise you hear under the dash is from the BCM unit.
