'97 blazer loses power while driving

Hi
I am new to the site and any information on my '97 s10 blazer would be appreciated. While driving down the road it will lose power for a split second and the air bag light will flash. It runs fine after this happens. It also is harder starting than it used to be, before soon as you turned the key it fired right away, now it might crank over a few times before it fires up. You can be setting at a red light and sometimes it will automatically shut off. It usually starts right up. I don't know if I have more than one problem or if they are all linked together. Please help!!!!!!!!

Re: '97 blazer loses power while driving

I have a '97 blazer s-10, the same thing started happening to me about month or so after I got. one day I went out to start it up, and nothing. I took the ignition switch out and it had burned it self up, I had to get a new switch

97 is a major bad year for ignition switches causing many electrical problems. I'd look at that first and foremost.
