Question '98 Lumina ABS Light On!

The ABS warning light on my '98 Lumina has started to come on (steady) after driving for a while ... it will go off if I stop and restart the car, and usually stay off for some time, and then for no reason come back on. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.

Shot in the dark without knowing more details but take a look at the reluctor ring's on the outboard cv joint's, looks like a wheel with notches.
Look to see if it is cracked. These cars are notorious for this! Usually only sets the light off when slowing down right before you stop or may even activate the ABS prematurely without setting any codes.

Exclamation ABS lights on

I have a 1996 lumina also and i had the same problem, the abs lights came on while i was driving and after about an hour of driving i pulled into a parking lot and shut off the engine to get some smokes, i came back out and tried to start the car and it wouldnt turn over, turned out the battery was dead because the alternator wasnt charging the battery. so i went out and got a new alternator and replaced it, it worked fine for about 2 days then the VOLTS indicator turned on. I still dont know whats wrong with it, i cant drive it because the battery will shit out on me again. If anyone has any idea, let me know.
