motor and tranny fit
Hey guys, can someone tell me what a 3800 motor and tranny from a 93 buick regal would fit into? is there a site to go to for this? My father in law had an accident and totalled the car off. the powertrain is 110% one owner always used synthetic oils, tranny always flushed and filled with new filter every 30,000 miles. car has 120,000miles thanks john

Re: motor and tranny fit
it should fit perfect into any other car with the exact same engine. if it's really a 93 then you don't wanna put it into a car that's any year later since they have different computer systems. this is of course if you're only swapping the engine and transmission w/o the ecm. so the years you want to look for are 91-93
here's a list of cars that had this engine: buick lesabre buick park avenue buick regal pontiac bonneville pontiac trans sport olds 88 olds 98 olds toronado olds sihouette i dont' think you'll have issues with the transmission since i don't think these cars came with electronic transmissions until 94. |
