Emblem placement ('01 GP GT 4dr)

Hey all, I de-badged my car over a year ago, and have decided to put badges back on it, problem is, I can't tell exactly where to put the emblems on the doors.

The trunk emblem left a 'shadow' of where it used to be, so it went back on easy, but there's no shadow on the doors for the GRAND PRIX GT (as far as I can tell, lol)

Anyone here that can take a pic of their door, and do some CAD magic to put measurements between the emblems and door edge/trim/etc?

Thanks in advance!

I wish I could help, I have a GTP though or else I would go and measure for you.

I'm sure someone will help you out.

Re: Emblem placement ('01 GP GT 4dr)

because the script is slightly tilted (like italic letters) and the letters you're measuring to are different (a rounded "G" and a "T"), the measurements for each door are slightly different.

It rained today, so excuse my filthy car (I live on a dirt road). I don't have any photo editing software on this computer at work to put the measurements right on the picture but here they are.

top of body molding on bottom of door to the bottom of the lettering- 2-5/8 inches
driver's side- door edge to horizontal center of "G"- 3-1/2"
pass's side- door edge to tip of horizontal line on "T"= 3-5/8"

Re: Emblem placement ('01 GP GT 4dr)

Thanks alot Richtazz! I actually was able to go creepin' around my town, found a GT and measured (imagine the awkward looks I'd get if the owner saw me measuring parts of their car, lol) so today I put the new emblems on (silvermist on black, not bad but goin for chrome overlays soon)

Thanks again to all who replied!

Glad you got it figured out. You're lucky it wasn't my car you were crouched next to. If I caught someone lurking around my car, I'm the take action first, ask questions later kinda guy, You might've woke up in the hospital.
