Driver side window won't roll up...

Hey guys, I have a 97 GT, just the other day my driver side window rolled down but it won't roll back up. I stopped it about halfway and I can still roll it down, and all 3 other windows roll both up and down no problem. I've read a few threads on here and I am thinking I may need to replace the master switch, but since it's only the one window and it still rolls down, i'm not sure. Thanks

the master switch is four seperate switches in one assembly, so it is possible for one to be bad and the rest to work. The sitch supplies power and ground to the window motor on two wires (i don't recall right know what the colors are). once you find out the two colors you can packprobe the connector for the switch with a test light. One of the two wires should have power to it in the up position and the other should have power in the down position. If they both light up at the same time or don't light up at all then the switch is a good possibility. If the switch supplies power as it should than its time to pull the door panel. Once its off wack the motor while pushing switch up. If it starts working replace it. You could also find that the cable/guides for the regulator have gone bad also.
