gas gauge trust?

ive owned a feew f bodys ang the gas gauges have always been "funny" but this is my first 3rd gen 89 iroc how trust worthy is the gauge it acts crazy almost like every time i turn the car on it says somthing different

if that's the case i wouldn't trust it entirely. if you ever drop the tank to change the pump or anything like that you can redo the ground for the sending unit and make sure the float thingy isn't bent and moves freely.

yeah i just wondered if it was a common problem like my 95 1/8 of a tank was empty i wasn't the only one to experience this
