stuck in 4 low

Hi all my 96 1/2 ton is stuck in 4 low it has the push buttun on the dash i went to put it up on the ramps today so i put it in 4 hi and the lite dident come on, so i dident think to much about that so when i went to go up the pamps i noticed it was in 4low so i pushed the butten agen and it stayed in 4low no sound nothing any help?

check all fuses,,,check connectors at transfercase,,,,fluid in transfercase ?????

you where running this vehicle in 4wd low or it by itself went into 4wd low ...?

donno about 96 model, but it takes several buttons to be pressed same time to disengage 4LO on 2000 model. you sure you do it right?

I had this happen with a different chevy with electronic selectors. I was stuck in 4 low, so I drove it a few miles, at 25-30 miles an hour, then put it park, switched the buttons, turned it off, then tried it again and it switched. The push button is nice to have, but I don't mind the mechanical.

Did you try puting the tranny in neutral and then pressing the button?

My 2000 Z71 did that but eventually i got it to go back in. My four wheel drive wasn't working. Took it to the dealership and the mechanic said he just cleaned the grounds because they were a little rusted. Fixed it and now it works perfect.
