Strut replacement costs
Just finished replacing four struts on my 2002 Camry XLE and thought I would posts my out of pocket costs
Four Monroe Sensa Trac struts $351.96 + tax Local garage to change over springs from old struts onto the new Struts $52 Four wheel alignment $75 I should be receiving an $80 rebate from Monroe during their special "Stimulus" rebate program going on until the end of May. Before someone flames me for not renting a spring compressor to change my own springs over to the new struts you need to see the dent in my neighbor's concrete basement wall when a spring got loose on him. The $52 was well worth it. |

Re: Strut replacement costs
$52 to change 4 springs is super cheap. I'd do it that way too if it was that cheap. Ya, compressors are dangerous for sure.

I haven't done a strut job in about 15 years. I did all 4 on my 84 Tercel and 84 Cressida. I didn't have any problems but you could not have pulled a needle out of my butt when I was compressing those springs! Yeah, for $52, throw the spring compressor away!!!
