2003 horn/electrical problems

I have been having intermitent electrical problems for a while, mostly the dome lit works sometimes but other times not. Recently the power locks don't always unlock when I push the button on the key fob. Sometimes it does, but most of the time i have to push it multiple times. The main issue I've been concerned with though is the horn. A week or so ago it started sounding in the middle of the night while parked. I went outside and it just didn't sound right, the pitch was off. I pushed the buttons on the key fob, nothin. Opened the door and tapped the center of the wheel/horn button and it stopped. When I went to drive the next day, the horn wouldn't work. Got a replacement, and when I plug it in, it won't stop sounding. Fuse is good (obviously), tryed swapping the relay in the fuse box under the hood with another of the same type, no difference. Any ideas?

Re: 2003 horn/electrical problems

have you recently had the steering wheel off, or the multi function switch ?

Check for corrosion in the under hood fuse box. Then if thats ok check the wires to/from teh horn and see if thiers a short. Though it could be the switch on top of the air bag is bad.
