will not start with the key

90 beretta starter works purple wire has power at starter .But the key will not start the car.Tried to start it in every gear.But do hear a clicking sound over top of the glove box.? Any ideas on where to look now???

I would clean the battery cables and try again. If its started Auto Zone or Advanced will check the battery and starter free.

Try starting it in neutral.

Check the purple wire (its usually purple) at the starter for power when the key is in the crank position. If there is no power (I suspect) you'll need to work your way back through the neutral safety switch and back to the ignition switch.
