Got any trim pics?

I am wanting to put on 31 10.5 15 Pirelli Scorpion A/ts on my 2000 4x4 XE 3-pack. I would like to keep the front mud flaps on. How much trimming is involved so there is no rubbing. Does anyone have pics of the trim work.

When I saw the subject heading I thought you were looking for porn

Seriously, I remember seeing some pictures of the trimming on the Unofficial Board over a year ago. If anyone still has them, it would probably be Brent (OffroadX).

Well I was going to reply that you won't be able to keep your mud flaps, but then someone somewhere bent them back enough to keep 'em, so I can't say definitvely.

Personally I find the mudflaps to be a liability when offroading. I'll probably implement a soft-rubber solution someday.

The new Nissan trim allow for larger tires and flaps, but I don't own a 2002, just know they're designed to allow the 17" wheel and tire (which is the biggest Nissan is running now).

So get the 31's. Just don't be too dissapointed if you have to cut off your mudflaps.

EOE sliderz make great mud flaps

EOE sliderz make great mud flaps! I notice a lot less debris slung onto the truck vs. everyone else this weekend! I still retain my rear mudflaps just becuse i don't like throwing rocks at other people! I run 31" TSL's and had to trim about an inch on the front and rear from the front wheel well.

But here is a link from our PNWX site on what to trim:

Nope, I don't have pics of the trimming per se. Other than the ones just posted, I know Ian has a better picture of the initial trimming he did. However, this pic of the '02 flare/flap setup pretty much shows the same trimming you would have to do yourself (same overall flare on the '02s, they just modified the bottom edge)

Wonder if?

I wonder if the '02 flaps will fit on the older model truck? Looks pretty similar? You'd just have to drill a new hole for that one that is up and inboard.

Yes, as far as I could tell, they will. The general dimensions of the flare have not changed.

Probably, but you will still break it off after decending over the first rock you climb over. The EOE's do a good job as it is.

Those are 31" AT's. That pic was before he got the lift and went to 32" MT's.
