Methanol injecton question.

I'm going to install a methanol injection system in my GMPP supercharged '04 Cavalier. I don't know why I keep giving the details, I know who's going to answer and he knows what my car is Anyway, when I was researching the supercharger, I found something saying that either nitrous oxide or methanol had to be injected after the supercharger or it could damage the coating on the scrolls. Of course, at the time I didn't think I'd need that info, and now I don't even remember where I got it and can't find it searching, and I don't remember with any certainty if it was N02 or methanol . I think they also gave some provision that was built into the manifold, but I don't see anything obvious without removing the supercharger. Here in Iowa, we don't have any quality gasolines that are above 91 octane anymore, at least not at local stations. The best I could do with fuel alone is to mix in 110 octane racing fuel, which is leaded, which would destroy my O2 sensors. With my luck, they'd probably bust me for fuel tax evasion too. Not to mention how old it would get to have to add a gallon or so at home before I filled up every week for at least the next 3 years and 241 days. I've got more important things to buy before then, but after that I think I may move up to an LT1 Caprice or Pontiac G8 GXP and turbo that . Even the quickest car I've ever owned is starting to feel slow after driving it for a while . The added power, even cooler air, and clean valves/pistons with alcohol all sound pretty good too!

Re: Methanol injecton question.

NO2 After scrolls yes. Problem is, there is no were to tap the manifold for it. The fuel rail is in the way.

Meth/alky.... tap the TB spacer, before scrolls is ok.

Re: Methanol injecton question.

I'm not converting it to run on methanol, I'm adding methanol injection to the existing gasoline. Google "methanol injection" to read what it is and the benefits, but thanks for trying!
