Caddyshack. Terminator. Ferris. Silence of the Lambs. Total Recall. Blues Brothers. Stripes. Trading Places. Beverly Hills Cop. Ghostbusters. The Shining. I own most of these.
That's the 80s. 70s...can't recall many, but Kelly's Heroes, The Dirty Dozen, Dirty Harry, The Godfather all stand out.

Re: Best Movies from 70's and 80's
Speaking of "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" , if you have $2.3 million, you can buy Cameron's house that was featured in the movie. That was the one with the glass enclosed garage hanging over a ravine. It recently was put on the market.

The entire first floor of the house is one big glass fishbowl.... you have the disadvantage of a house on stilts (no walkout, no backyard etc) but it has no view... just trees very close to the house.... Movie noteriety aside, its hugely overpriced. Still, being able to drive my car into my living room would be a plus. |

I can just imagine the wife's response to driving the car into the living room," Don't you DARE think about getting ONE drop of oil on that rug! I just had Stanley Steemer come in to clean them!" uhoh:
