1998 Dodge neon door speakers

How do I get the door panel off so that I can replace the speakers? How do I get the window handle and the door handle off? AND what size are the door speakers?

Go to www.crutchfield.com for speaker size. They might also be able to help you out with the panel removal.

Dont the neon door windows cranks use the same little clip as was used by GM vehicles for many years? You can buy a tool for removing those window handles clips in auto part places. Usually its one of the tools in a bubble pack hanging from the walls, along with similar special-purpose-but-fairly-common automotive tools. It also works to use a shop towel that you work in behind the handle and pull on both ends as you work it back and forth, pulling the ends toward the 'knob' end of the window crank. This shoves out the clip, which then tries to fly off and disappear into the dirt below the door!
For the inside door handle, there should be a phillips head screw visible if you hold the little handle in its pulled out position. Thats what holds the door handle assembly in I think.

The stock speakers are actually 6.5", but you can buy 6.75" speakers and they will bolt right in.
