Unhappy Wrecked engine, help me please

ok i have a 408 stroker forged internals, blower cam, afr 205 heads, d1-sc procharger. I took here to the dyno to get her tuned and she put down 639 at 5000rpm 15psi of boost. on that pull we blew the head gasket, the head gaskets were 1011-2's. i pulled the heads today and found between 5,6,8 cylinder the gasket blew along with a chunk of the cylinder head right were the gasket blew out. pritty much the metel that seprates the cylinders is gone on the head, its about 1/2 inch long and a finger nail or two deep. What do u think would be my best bet, can i even get somthing like that fixed or do i have to get a new casting. The valves and every thing else is fine. Any input would be great thanks.

Re: Wrecked engine, help me please

15 psi of boost on repaired heads, sounds like a recipe for disaster. I wish you the best of luck, but I would stand well clear during dyno pulls.

Re: Wrecked engine, help me please

there was more to, im pritty sure we would have got to 700 easy if the head gasket would have ben a mls and not a some what cheap one. that 639 was on a vary conservitve tune, he was still dialing it in, and we had another 1000rpm to go and after 4000rpm the wheels were spinning on the dyno. so yeah. i hate the weekend nothing is open this sucks.

Re: Wrecked engine, help me please

the cheap gasket popping might be what saved your engine, or at least most of it.

Re: Wrecked engine, help me please

what do u mean, i think it would have ben fine if there would have ben a better gasket on there. do u think it was denation, theres no sighn of burns or melting at all, just a chunk missing were the head gasket blew.
