Dvd Video Lockout Bypass
Not sure if this has been cover yet. Anyone know the best method.
some stereos you can just ground the parking brake wire. most you can hook up a toggle switch, but i don't like stuff to look crappy. Last edited by SaintD; 05-22-2009 at 03:49 PM. |

Re: Dvd Video Lockout Bypass
Okay guys i figured it out.
All you need is a 40amp 12v relay with 4 prongs. 1. connect "30" to the green parking brake wire from the H/U 2. connect both "86" and "87" to ground 3. connect "85" to the remote turn-on wire from the H/U It will pulse the parking break wire and let you play dvd's while driving "For passangers of course." hope this saves everyone else some time. |

Re: Dvd Video Lockout Bypass
Pioneer AVH-P4100
the new pioneers you got to send a pulse as if the parking brake is being pressed in. so the relay will send ground-hot-ground to the parking break wire, simulating you taking off the break and putting it back on. |

Re: Dvd Video Lockout Bypass
ok, that's pretty much what the TR-7 does for the alpine
