Conversion of steering...

Hi all tech. freaks.I am having a conventional rack and pinion steering gearbox with end take off arrangement. I want to convert that into center take off arrangement. How to do that buddies??//

I think you would need to adapt a center take-off rack that would fit your vehicle. What model and year of car do you have?

Thanks for the suggestion magicrat.. but i am participating in SAE BAJA, in which i have to make a vehicle. So, can you please help me by telling me how to convert it?

Are you making a vehicle from scratch or modifying an existing one?

If it's the latter, what make, model and year of vehicle are you starting with?

Some Audis and the Chrysler Concorde/Intrepid ('98 through '04) had a center take-off rack, as far as I know.
There may be others vehicles that other AF members may want to suggest.
