Transmission Cooling line leak
Hi, the lower transmission cooling line sprang a leak on a 1997 Taurus with AX4N 19 bolt automatic transmission. Its easy to access I have the part but cant get the darn aluminum tube end out of the transmission end. How do you release the line, its turns in place easily, Ive squeezed the two tabs while pulling still no luck?

Re: Transmission Cooling line leak
I hope that you have not buggerd it up with a pair of pliers
There is a tool for that; you can get it at any parts store for a 2 or 3 bucks. I purchased the entire set that covers just about every quick connect for about 30$. And I mean every thing from the ford fuel lines, to the A/C lines, to every one that GM is using With the correct tool it comes of very easy, even the ones that have been messed with or rusted |
