Drivers side window problem 1999 express 3500
I have a problem that has been haunting me since the van was new.
The drivers side window will lower most of the time but on the way up stops. If you push the button again it will go up a 1/4" or so and then stop. If you push the button down it will sometimes go down all the way other times a 1/4" maybe more. If I grab a hold of the glass and help it up I can get it up to the top. If I let it sit it will sometimes go up a couple of inches and then stop. Under warranty the dealer replace the switch and motor. They then said it was a bad battery. I replaced the battery. They then said there was a problem with a ground. Im not sure if they meant on the battery or a ground in the door. It worked for ahwile after they repaired it and for years now ive been playing with this. Its very annoying. I was thinking of taking off the door panel and putting 12 voltz to the motor and see if it worked using a battery charger or something with a hot and ground. Does anyone have or had this problem that could help. Thanks Mike |

Just use positive jumper and neg from a good battery power source.
Remember to reverse motor direction the switch reverses neg and pos.
