Question Spring Break = Easter?

Maybe I've been away from the college scene too long, but wasn't "Spring Break" around Easter (That way you could go home and be with family on Easter)
If Spring Break is now "officially" March 1st through the 30th... then WTF do people do for Easter? Ditch?

Most schools provide Spring Break a few weeks before Easter. At my community college, though, they decided to lump it all together into one big thing. It was horrible because you were in classes straight from January until whenever Easter fell. Thank goodness it wasn't a late Easter, but that's a long block. I mean, it's almost as bad as going from late August through mid-November in the Fall session.

My university now had Spring Break 3 weeks ago, and now we have one more week until our 3-day weekend "Easter Break".

I don't get one either (being out here in "the real world"). I'll be near Daytona for Easter Sunday & thought maybe I could join the party:ylsuper Sadly, by that time it appears the party will be long gone Oh :finger:

When I was in grade school/high school, spring break typically was the week before Easter. In college I think most of them do it in mid-March. I had mine 2 weeks ago. Some other places had theirs the week before and others the week after.

I think most institutions don't go by Easter just because of the whole separation of church n state thing, but I could be way off.
