System Build question

Ok I am now beginning to start building my audio system, i currently have a sony Xplod HU, yeah not the best but it was my buddies for $25 bucks, i figured before i go all out with subs, I should probably start with the mids, in my case their in the doors but i want to put them behind the rear seats, right under the rear window. Will I have to get an amp for these 6x9's? Or should I just keep them in the doors?

Re: System Build question

What vehicle are they going in and what size door speakers can you use?

Alot of component speakers can sound great in doors.

Re: System Build question

i would try and keep them in the doors, first off you don't want to advertise what you have. and depending on what size fits in the doors, doubt it is 6x9 in the front doors, and you budget will say what you need.

in my case i have a f150 xlt. so I go with the boston sl80's and toss about 50 watts per speaker.

Re: System Build question

Yea i took off my door panels and put Sony Xplod 5x7's, they don't sound too bad for 50 bucks and i may replace the 5x7's in the rears too, not sure yet though.
