new 09 coupe

just bought an 09 coupe with 5spd and the tuned exhaust. getting 29.5 in the city. took off the air box and removed the snorkel looking device. put the air box back on ran a tank of fuel and mileage increased to 31.8. want to try the E-3 plugs. has any one tried this yet? suppose to give 5 HP increase and 2-3 mph increase. with the snorkel off throttle response seems better.

The E-3 plugs are good but expensive. I think the Iridium NGK's are good. They have a fine .7mm electrode which produces a hotter spark. Iridium electrode is 7 times harder than a standard plug. They last a long time. E-3's are good though. Go with them if that is what you are inclined to do. I got about the same increase with Iridiums so either one is about the same as far as that goes.
