89 Seville Parts

Hey all. As you can see my issue is an older vehicle with limited availability on parts. I am running a Cadillac Seville 1989 sedan which I keep it running but during christmas some one stole my old radio brackets and all. I was wondering if anyone could help me locate were to receive a factory radio bracket mount. I have been to like 30 + junk yards and no one seems to have any parts available for this car. I went to one shop and they even laughed at me. Granted its an 89 but its my Seville you know so can anyone help.

Welcome to AF. I would suggest making brackets, these cars more than likely have been crushed, but you could try the advertisers in Hemmings News.

Re: 89 Seville Parts

Granted that I have an 89 I am not really a car junkie to make a bracket. I am learning about her as time goes on to do certain repairs myself but I wouldnt know where to start in the rebuilding of an 89 caddy bracket. I will check the links you were talking about though thanks for the info.

Re: 89 Seville Parts

Along with Hemmings, also try eBay. What I have done in the past is if I see someone selling parts off a car they are dismantling I'll send them a message through eBay asking them if they might have more parts available. Many times, these sellers do and will let you know if they might have your part. Radio brackets might not be on a list for popular items to sell or garner a huge amount of money, so many people overlook these items when parting out a vehicle. I have found some hard-to-find parts this way.
Also, try www.car-part.com . This site links salvage yards from across the country and searches their inventory for the part you need. Just enter the info in the search boxes and it will display those yards that may have your vehicle's parts. There is also contact info for these yards, so you'll need to take the extra step to contact them and inquire as to the availability of the part you need. Sometimes you have to go the extra step and employ different means to get the part(s) you need from older, hard to locate vehicles.
