2008 Impala Royal Purple ATF
I recently bought a 2008 Impala 3.5L. According to the Carfax it was a rental for 8 months before I bought it so I am looking to change and flush the ATF and I want to use Royal Purple. I don't want to give Chevy a reason not to honor the warranty, in needed, so I was looking for documentation (preferably from Chevy) saying that Royal Purple ATF won't affect the warranty. Anyone know of a link or documentation? Thanks.

just flushing no way....! most debris in the transmission is when the vehicle is new ,,,all this dirt/debris must be removed...then replacing the fluid by way of the coolant lines is recommended... not force flushed...as some shops do.. the new dexron VI is synthetic and as such should provide a correct match and servicability of your transmission... the older vehicles had dexron III and this fluid was a problem according to a GM document TSB...but your vehicle was built after this...stay with dexronVI and you should have no problems if this fluid is replaced on a regular basis..with the filter... |
