debating between...
So i just found some good deals online and was wondering if naybody had any input for suspension upgrades. I want something with only a small drop becasue i live in CO with nast potholes and snow. I also want something that isnt super stiif, again, mad potholes. However, denver just got a brand new track that I will want to take it to so the debate is between performance and comfort and amount of adjustabuility. Here are the contenders.
Found a set of NEX coilovers which are ride height adjustable but the shock doesnt appear to be adjustable which means it couold be too harsh for mad potholes. Ive read a couple of reviews and theyre all over the place, the problem is most people are ricers so i cant really trust what they say. PROS - any coilover system should be better designed than a shock/spring combo, they are height adjustable and since the lowering the center of gravity is going to vastly outweigh any shock/spring improvements. CONS - Ive never heard of them, worried about the quality, again reviews have been all over the place on this. and again no shock adjustability. Looking at getting a set of AGX's with eibach springs. how is the ride quality on these? PROS - shock adjustability this way i can soften the shock for the street and firm it for the track, proven quality. CONS - no ride height adjustability, they werent designed together therefore they are bound to not be optimized for eachother. Will they give me the performance I want for the track. Tokico illumina/springs PROS - Proven quality, designed together should be better than mismatched springs/shocks. shock adjustabulity. CONS - Performance compared coilovers? no ride height. Sorry that was so long but i wanted to give you guys all the information i could. Does anyone know what the stock spring rates are?

i have illumina's with eibach pro's and i love it! its not too low, and the handeling has GREATLY increased over stock, the shocks are 5 way adjustable, from buick le saber soft, to rock hard race. I couldnt be happier with the setup for the money. on the street, it is manageable (on the softer shock settings) and just all around, an awesome setup.
for Illumina shocks. for eibach Pro springs. and +15,000,000 for Illumina/eibach Pro setup!

You wouldnt happen to know whether the TEIN SS coilover system fits the AWD and FWD setups would you? Im looking at getting a set used that came off a FWD and most coilover systems fit both models but wanted to be sure.

the FWD and AWD setups should be the same. IIRC the only difference is the rear spring rates, for the added weight of the AWD components, the AWD springs are stiffer.
