i found a 78 firebird for $2100 it has a 403 engine rebuilt carb 350 turbo and a shift kit evrything in the engine is new whats yall opinion on the deal

find the rust. mechanical things are easy to fix, rust and damage isn't.

Look for any signs of previous front end damage also.If it has been fixed and there are still any wrinkles around the radatior support,stay away from it.

You have to be lucky to get something for 2 grand today that outlast your investment, put the bird through the test by following the advice in this link http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html if it passes the test drive you're on your way for an independent body shop inspection " worth the few bucks " to secure your investment.
