Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

A turbo neon or an SRT4? We used to have an SRT4 so I take offense to the Neon thing. And alot of people turbo regular neons too so, I was just trying to clarify which one it was.

Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

I used to race my buddy with a SRT4 and I'd walk his ass everytime. He was always pissed that I would win. But he was basically stock with an exhaust and bigger injectors, and I think some suspension work done. Me on the other hand had the 16G @ 20psi and front mount. I think from a 40 roll to 100 i would have him by a car to a car and a half. I can just imagine an SRT with some extreme mods would be.

We ran 13.4 with a 3" exhaust, intake, and a EBC.

Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

SRT's need only a few mods to make them dangerous. I always thought my buddies was pretty quick for what he had done to it.

Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

The guy had carbon fibre all over his car too. I didn`t ask how much his weighed dind`t matter he wouldn`t tell me anyways. He launched pretty well for being fwd but he did do a lengthy burnout either way awd ftw.

Link fixed.

Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

Not even close. Sorry i dont have a lot of respect for neons, of any kind, just me. SRT's are super popular in Co so that might be why i dont like them, get tired of lookin at them. However, very nice race, AWD rules!

AS a side note, when you tried to break 4.0s 0-60 did you have your gangster rims on? cuz switchi those might give you the edge you need.

Re: Talon TSI AWD vs Turbo Neon Both @ Over 20 PSI

now theres some drama

my friend who was there at the starting line talked to one of that guys friends and that guys friends gave him a laundry list of reasons of why he didn't beat me including but not limited to
Tires were no good although he did launch pretty well and did a burnout before the race.
Road wasn't good (I thought it was perfect) and even if it wasn't we were on the same road.
car was untuned (who's fault is that)
Boost wasn't up all the way (ok why not)

But my buddy told him even if you "fixed" all that stuff still no chance.
We may have a rematch pending
