reprogramming door buttons

Is there a way to reprogram the buttons on the door to unlock the door? I don't know the combo for my 93 tuarus sho and I don't have a key for the door. I don't have the owners manual either. The ignition lock cylinder was replaced so it isn't the orignal ignition key.
Thanks,
Andy

Re: reprogramming door buttons

The sticker with the 5-digit code should be located on the Remote Antitheft Personality (RAP) module which is in the trunk. Assuming the cable lever to open the trunk works for you, open the trunk and look towards the seatback. There may be a black cardboard appearance cover attached to the seatback. Remove this so you can see the RAP and audio amplifiers. There will be a white sticker with 5 black numbers on it attached to the RAP. That is the code.

Once you have this code, you can program a second code of your choosing. The steps to do this have been posted on this forum numerous times so I won't go in to those details. You can search the forum for the threads.

If you find the RAP and for some reason the sticker is missing, the only way to change the factory-set code is to open the RAP and move resistors around.
