wiring question- pig tail without a home?

I was installing my sat radio and had the fuse block cover off and exposed..as well as the plastic shoeld guard under the dash. There was two progned wiring big tail thats coming out of the main wiring hardness ona about a 6inch lead.. yellow/oragnge in colour with a silver clip on it that wasnt plugged into anything- was just haning there.. what is this for?? is it supposed to be connected ? I didnt see anything obvious that was disconnected and everything is working? ive bene under there before and didnt notice it?? was hagning right near the E brake petal pivot

is there a small interior lamp on the closeout panel?? Sounds like the type of plug used for the interior courtesy lamps.

Sure it's not the parking brake switch wire-- although, I believe park brake wire is Tan/wht

If you can post a picture of the suspect connector it would really help to identify it.
