2007 Grand Caravan cabin air filter

How do I change the cabin air filter on a 2007 Grand Caravan SXT. Maybe its just me but the instructions with the filter don't seem to work and the procedure in the online service manual also does not seem to work. The door on the bottom of the AC unit will not open. It seems to be a moulded part of the unit. Anyone done this before on an '07?

If you're looking at a single molded unit, your van may not be equiped with the filter. I don't know the determining factor (options) that determine if your van is equiped or not. These instructions are probably the same as what you have:http://hastingsfilter.com/products/af1203.pdf

Re: 2007 Grand Caravan cabin air filter

Its a single moulded unit. I see the place a filter would go but there is no opening. Guess I don't have that option. The owners manual does not indicate that this filter is an option, just to change it at a certain mileage, and Jiffy Lube tried to sell me one too (for twice the price). I returned the filter, and will continue to breath dirty air, just like we did before cabin filters. OMG!
Thanks for the info RIP.

If there is no door to open then you don't have it . This is an option usually on the more expensive models and is not standard on all models. Personally I think it is a waste of money and just another maintenance item that you have to do and you do have to keep up on it or you will burn out the blower motor resistor . If you have bad allergies then thats a different story.
